Gone West 03:40
I will not be ruled, by a queen This path I travel, will be written by me I've gone West To be alone To hide from fate To be gone

Phase out my mind Put on a record to pass the time Hold on wait right here Visions getting blurry I can't see clear Hey please hold me straight I've had too much to drink Will you walk with me But please don't put me to sleep Keep me up don't let me fall My words can't be heard I can't make sense at all Four hours until the sun comes up Maybe just one more Don't let that glass run dry Hey hold me straight I've had too much to drink Will you stay by me Don't put me to sleep One two three four I can feel it in my core Five six seven eight My head is resting at Hell's gate Eight seven six five I have never felt alive Four three two one Not much longer until I'm gone

I see Things you can't I know The way Can you hear? The voices Can you see? The machine Can you hear? The voices Can you see? The machine Focus Focus I am focus I see, what you can't Focus I am Focus Seeing what can't be seen Knowing, what is lost Can you hear? The voices Can you see? The machine Can you hear? The voices Can you see? The machine

I'm all alone at night Don't wanna see you in a different light And now I'm all alone With not a thing I've known In this place I die Under a dark night sky Marking, down the day Until the time, when I am gone Under, under a dark night sky On a ride, to end my life Now I'm all alone Nothing is known In this place I die Under a dark night sky Keep the feeling real From my soul you steal As time fades away There's nothing left to say

about

I wrote "Gone West" throughout the majority of 2022. Started in the end of February and finished in October. Throughout the eight months of writing this album: I went through a break-up after nine years, my best friend of 12 years moved across the country, I bought my first Stratocaster and my first Jazz bass, I joined one of my favorite bands playing bass, and I learned a lot about what is actually important and what is just bullshit.

I also spent way too much time playing Horizon: Forbidden West. The name "Gone West" came from every time I played the game, I knew I should have been being productive instead; like working on music.

This album would not be what it is without the help of my friends. Not only the ones who are on it, but all of my friends and family who continuously support these musical endeavors.

To Colin & Tyler, if you read this, first off nice job reading this random blurb. Secondly, and more importantly, if it was not for you two, I probably would have stopped writing my own stuff a while ago. You two have such talent and the fact that you both lend your talents to my work will never cease to amaze me. I am very fortunate to have both of you as my friends and I will never be able to properly thank either of you enough for all your support and help. "Gone West" would not exist without you guys.

Lastly, thank you to anyone who listens to Gone West. If it helps you, if it gives you comfort, whatever it makes you feel; I am truly grateful you gave this album a chance. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening.
