about

When I play guitar, I use a lot of pedals. While practicing, I had the amp plugged in, several different adapters to accommodate for about a dozen pedals, and my computer; all in the same outlet (a power strip was there, but it was still fully loaded).

The smell of smoke came into the room; it was a burning smell, like an electrical burning smell, and I immediately thought, "OH MY GOD I'M BURNING THE HOUSE DOWN WITH ALL MY SHIT!" Naturally, I unplugged everything, and ran up and down the house checking for smoke.

Everything seemed fine and the smell was only present when I was upstairs. I looked out the window and saw that a neighbor a few houses down had a giant, roaring fire going.

As relief set in, this song idea came into mind. I wrote and recorded this all in one afternoon.

I know that, especially right now, there are all sorts of things in the world to worry about, but never forget to be very careful with fire.

lyrics

Voice One (Rod Serling):
Anyone who handles fire, in any form, is a potential killer.
Anyone can start a fire and not even know it.
Please be very careful with fire.
Please.
Only you can prevent forrest fires.

Voice Two:
Each year in the United States 12,000 people die because of fire.
Children must be taught not to play with matches.
Gasoline must never be stored in your home.
It could easily explode into a tragedy.
Electrical outlets must never be overloaded to the point of danger.
Careless smoking could kill you and your family.
Take this advice from your safety council,
Don't become a fire statistic.

Voice Three:
This message will take but 60 seconds.
During this time, we want you to think about the dangers of uncontrolled fire.
Did you know that, thousands of families lost their homes last year because of fire?
Some people lost their families.
Think about it
Doesn't it make you want to do something about it?
Like cleaning out the trash
Getting the wiring and heating checked
Like being careful with fire
How about doing it
Now?
